My name is Travis Kelly. I am 25 years old. I play the bass guitar and I have been a really big No Doubt fan for 7
years now. When I first heard No Doubt was when the Just A Girl video came out. Around the time the Sunday Morning vide came
out I bought Tragic Kingdom but for some reason at the time I had lost interest and sold my CD. But years later when
the Ex-Girlfriend video came out in 1999 that's when I started to like them again. I bought Return Of Saturn soon after
it was released and than I saw No Doubt in concert for the first time July 7th of 2000 at the E-Center in West Valley,
Utah. That was back when Gwen had pink hair. Seeing them in concert was one of the biggest things that got me into No Doubt.
I mean it was mostly the diversity and positivity in their music but seeing them in concert did help a lot. Soon after
that I bought all the rest of their albums that they had out at the time. Around that time I started playing the bass guitar.
Tony Kanal from No Doubt really inspired me in a lot ways to play bass. Than as soon as Rock Steady was released I bought
it and saw No Doubt in concert for the second time in April 2nd of 2002 at the UVSC Mckay Events Center in Orem, Utah. Then
I saw No Doubt for the third time in November 8th of 2002 in Nampa, Idaho at the Idaho Center. At that show is when
I first met No Doubt at a meet and greet before the show and later that night got brought on stage. Then, August
23rd of 05 I met Tom again when he was playing with Matt Costa at the Jack Johnson concert. You can go the fan experiences
section to view my pictures and storys. No Doubt helped me through a lot of hard times in my life and opened me up to
other kinds of music. The things I love about them the most is how original and different their music is and how well they
are able to mix many different styles and balance both fast rock out songs and soft slow songs. And how you never know what
their next album is going to sound like before they release it or anounce anything in interviews. The other thing is they
put on a really good show. They interact with their fans a lot and make the fans apart of the show more than most other bands
do. They work really hard to make everything they do the best. But one of the biggest things that made me a No Doubt fan was
the fact that they are very nice and respectful to their fans. No Doubt is my first favorite band I'm also a big fan
of Gwen Stefani's side project LAMB it's a great album and Sweet Escape. but other bands I like would have
to be Red Hot Chili Peppers than Sublime, Bob Marley,Stone Temple Pilots,311,Madness, The Specials and more... I have always
wanted to start a band where all the musicians were big No Doubt fans so if any fan here plays an instrument or sings let
me know.
